In a measure approved by the Senate, speed enforcement cameras along I-95 in Ridgeland may be banned.
Many drivers have complained of discrimination (though, who ever heard
of speeder discrimination!) and that the cameras are just money making
gimmicks.
Ridgeland issued around 10,000 tickets in the first nine months after the camera was installed.
Some officers feel that if cameras were to be banned, South Carolina will be turning its back on technology.
What is your take of the speed enforcement cameras?
